Jami Attenberg's The Kept Man

Promo video for Jami Attenberg's new book. Watching it just makes me miss Jami, NYC and want to buy her new book. Jami rocks. Check out more of her work. Then check out more.

It's really sort of bittersweet. I love to see Jami doing well, as I do with all my NYC pals. I've come to the realization that my NYC years have been the best in my life. Well, I guess I've known that for the past 7 years, but it's stuff like Jami's successes that remind me of how great my time there was. And how great all my friends there are. And as much as I love NYC, I'm now moving to LA. I'm sure that I enjoy it much more than my years in DC and Cleveland. Whether I encounter the same caliber people that I did in NYC remains to be seen. NYC will always be my home. NYC, and all my pals there, I salute you.

Don't Techno For An Answer

Bike 4 Sale

I put one of my bikes on craigslist. It's my first time using craigslist to try to sell something. Hopefully it'll sell. Here's the listing.

WAR!!!

John Hex's Creepshow

John Hex sent me some of his music, which tragically, still haven't done anything with. But in return, I was able to give him a couple logos. Hopefully there will be a John Hex/Savage Monsters record in the future.

Bleeps & Bloops

When I was a kid, my family took one of those 2 week bus tours through Europe. It was a pretty good trip, but I was still a little too young to fully appreciate it. Some of the memories will last forever. Two of the other tourists were sisters from Wales. They were fat and obnoxious. My sister and I promptly nicknamed them Bleeps and Bloops, the Whales from Wales.

Forgotten Art

One day I'll be organized enough where I can find all the stuff I've done over the years. I found this while looking for Chinese patterns. Go figure.

New Potential Sticker Designs

Olive Loaf

Olive Loaf from FrankenSteve. Each episode is 15 minutes in length. They start with some general mayhem that usually gets worked out by the end, followed by a some words of sagely wisdom from the Wise Old Olive Loaf.

FrankenSteve....Again

Slowly...ever so slowly...FrankenSteve is getting refined. And he's getting in doors. And maybe one day something good will happen with him. It's really hard for me to believe he's nearly 8 years old now. Geez. Time flies.

Monkey Back Guarantee

My new comic zine is done. I just need to print out some more copies and put 'em together. I got a little inventive on this one and put in a fold out centerfold. The zine will be making it's public debut this Wednesday at the weekly meeting of Cleveland Illustrators.

A Happy Surprise

Just clicking on links to friends' sites, I hit the Boca Sweets site. I did some t-shirt designs for them a few years ago. And I just saw that they're using the art for their site, too. I had a lot of fun working on those designs. Maybe I should go into designing candy packaging...
