Transplant Opening Coming Up!

I haven't posted in awhile...been super busy getting ready for TRANSPLANT, my gallery show with cohorts Saxton Moore, Jorge Lacera and Carlos Villagra. It should be a good show and a really fun opening. If you're in Cleveland, come on by. See some art, have some drinks and buy some art.

At the Pub

One of my favorite pictures from Berlin.

MAZINE

One of the great contacts I made at the Pictoplasma Conference is Miran Delija. His was one of the many galleries on the Gallery Walk the first day of the conference. I loved his work instantly. How can you NOT love that monkey? He suggested that we keep in contact and collaborate on a project. A man of his word, he's got me doing t-shirt designs for Mazine, a company that he's involved with. No word yet on when my designs will be produced or available, so stay tuned.

Stephen Kroninger At American Greetings

Looks like Stephen Kroninger may be doing a presentation at American Greetings in March. I'm really looking forward to it. Having known Stephen for nearly 10 years now, I'm still getting to know him. He's that smart ass 10 year old kid that you can never outsmart. The one sitting in the corner drawing and listening to the cool music you've never heard before and imitating Jerry Lewis. Hanging out with Stephen can damage you, but it's addictive. And suddenly I have the urge to listen to Yoko Ono.

Above is a collage he did for me after I did some work on his site. I asked for a drawing of a monster and robot fighting over a naked lady. Her dress getting ripped off is what really does it for me. Pure genius.

Get Right!

I was making some letters and before I knew it, I had a folk-art inspired font. So I had to give it a test run. I've also got some dingbats to go with it. Now all I have to do it take all the letter forms in to Fontographer and make the actual font. Yet another project I don't have time for.
